There's a shade of paranoia in your dingy hotel room. You swing at the walls, and your brush paints a lighter hue. It drips down to the carpet, so you start leaving footprints. Pacing back and forth was always commonplace for you.
We both know you're a doppelgänger of a long-lost lust, but I read to you every night to try and cover that up, and I guess I can't be tried for things I tell you in my sleep, but I wish I could sometimes.
You're reciting poetry at the front of a lecture hall. The way you spit and froth, I wonder if you really mean what you say...did you mean it? No, you were just pissed off that you can't get high at work anymore. Your boss started watching too closely, and all your friends started watching you closely.

Because you're a sick kitten at the bottom of a well, and nobody was kicking around to notice that you fell. With some mud matting your fur, you'll search for a trapdoor because you've been down to the bottom, and you've gotten out before in some kind of past life.
